The International Division leads efforts at the University of Wisconsin–Madison to cultivate international scholarship and engagement, promote global awareness, and prepare students for a diverse and interconnected world.

Supports international teaching and research, and coordinating related outreach opportunities
Serves as a gateway for students to internationalize their UW-Madison experience, foster their development as global citizens and gain access to high-quality experiences abroad.
Is a central resource on for accessible international knowledge and cultural information, and as a focal point on campus for increasing global understanding and competitiveness

The International Division is comprised of four units: the Dean’s office, International Academic Programs (IAP), the International Internship Program (IIP), and the Institute for Regional and International Studies (IRIS). Together we work to promote and facilitate internationalization across the UW–Madison campus. See our mission, vision, and values.
